I am a BISI: MOCB PhD student in the Kuo lab. I work on elucidating the mechanisms underlying embryonic tendon development and healing. Millions of adults are affected by painful tendon ruptures each year and these ruptured tendons heal poorly. In contrast, embryonic tendons can heal more regeneratively. With my research here, I hope to uncover the mechanisms that govern embryonic tendon healing and development so we may leverage them to enable adult tendon regeneration.
