Johena Sanyal

I received by B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan before beginning my graduate studies here at the University of Maryland in Dr. Lisa Taneyhill's lab. I study the components driving neural crest cell epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and migration in the chick embryo, and am particularly interested in better understanding the role of cadherins and matrix metalloproteinases in this process.
